The General Assembly met today, Sunday, August 16, 2026, with a large number of members in attendance.
The new board was selected, comprising the following individuals:

Wadie Al-Izairiq
Amna Al-Haj
Mohamed H Hamid
The new executive board will be formed and announced in the coming days.The General Assembly also urges members to keep up with their membership fee payments to ensure the League’s activities continue effectively.

GROR “Great Ride of Return, Hamilton” 02/13/2026
The Sudanese Canadian League of Hamilton extends its heartfelt gratitude to Great Ride of Return (GROR), Hamilton, for their generous collaboration and support.
Through their recent movie screening and community fundraising efforts, GROR donated 50% of the proceeds totalling $532.15 to support humanitarian relief efforts in Sudan. This meaningful contribution reflects the strength of community partnerships and a shared commitment to making a difference during a time of urgent need.
We are pleased to share that 100% of the funds received have been directly sent to The Women’s Initiative for Protection in Babanousa, Sudan, where they will support critical relief efforts for those affected by the ongoing conflict.
We sincerely thank GROR and all those who contributed for their compassion, generosity, and solidarity.
